As one of the main events of the Wheat Ridge Carnation Festival, the Big Wheels on the Farm Car Show is more than just a showcase of classic cars – it’s a true celebration of our community. This family-friendly event brings together car enthusiasts, delicious food, live music, and a whole lot of fun, all for a great cause.
Supporting Wheat Ridge High School Students Since 2018
For more than seven years, the Big Wheels on the Farm Car Show has served as a grassroots fundraiser to benefit Wheat Ridge High School clubs and organizations. Our goal is simple: create an opportunity for car lovers to come together, celebrate their passion, and give back to the community by providing essential funds to support student clubs and initiatives.
What makes this event truly special is the sense of connection and community it fosters. From the one-of-a-kind trophies, designed and built by Warren Tech students, to the student and family volunteers, as well as the Wheat Ridge businesses that support the car show—this event brings together a diverse group of people who all share a common goal. Over the years, we’ve seen firsthand how the car show helps build lasting relationships that extend beyond the event itself.
A Heartfelt Story from Last Year’s Event
One of the most touching moments from last year’s show perfectly illustrates the power of community. A car owner met a young man who, fascinated by the car, sparked a conversation that blossomed into a new friendship. Through their shared appreciation for automobiles, they bonded over stories, challenges, and a mutual love for cars. That connection was more than just a fleeting moment—it was a beautiful example of how an event like this can create lasting friendships and build strong community ties.
A Celebration of Giving Back
The proceeds from car registrations, sponsors, Sunday-only vendors, and donations go directly to Wheat Ridge High School’s student clubs and organizations. It’s all about supporting local education and enriching the student experience. Whether you’re showing off your ride, enjoying the cars on display, or just soaking in the lively atmosphere, know that every dollar raised is making a difference for the students who benefit from these funds.
Join Us in Making a Difference
The Big Wheels on the Farm Car Show is organized by a small, dedicated team of volunteers who embody the strong community spirit of Wheat Ridge. The event wouldn’t be possible without the support of generous donors, sponsors, and, of course, the attendees who make the day unforgettable.
Car registration opens in May at www.thecarnationfestival.com. We welcome sponsors and donors at any time. Whether you’re a car enthusiast or simply looking to enjoy a fun day out, we invite you to join us in celebrating community, classic cars, and local pride.
