As one of the main events of the Wheat Ridge Carnation Festival, the Big Wheels on the Farm Car Show is more than just a showcase of classic cars – it’s a true celebration of our community. Big Wheels on the Farm Car Show serves as a grassroots fundraiser to benefit Wheat Ridge High School clubs and organizations. Our goal is simple: create an opportunity for car lovers to come together, celebrate their passion, and give back to the community by providing essential funds to support student clubs and initiatives.
What makes this event truly special is the sense of connection and community it fosters. From the one-of-a-kind trophies, designed and built by Warren Tech students, the Wheat Ridge businesses that participate and the student and family volunteers-this event brings together a diverse group of people who all share a common goal. Over the years, we’ve seen firsthand how the car show helps build lasting relationships that extend beyond the event itself.
A Heartfelt Story from Last Year’s Event
The growth and confidence that is acquired by the students is shown each and every year. We were part of a conversation with one of the students who participated last year and she said it was fun going to all the car shows and getting to know some of the car owners. She saw one gentleman so many times that he remembered her and even the day of the show, sought her out to say hi and let her know he was at the show. She said it was great to feel comfortable talking to him

The proceeds from car registrations, sponsors, Sunday-only vendors, and donations go directly to Wheat Ridge High School’s student clubs and organizations. It’s all about supporting local education and enriching the student experience.
