In a world that seems to choose hatred and violence time and time again, how do you find your way to happy? And is it even worth it?
Yes, a thousand times over, yes.
You doing the inner work, healing, and shining your bright light out into the world is the greatest antidote to hate.
My experience in life is that tiny moments add up over time. The tiny little cuts of my upbringing added up to a very dysregulated nervous system and low self-worth. The tiny moments of connection between Matt and I add up to trust and vulnerability. Every time Kai picks a stranger to smile at and make them pet him, I see them leave with a smile, lighter energy, and a pep in their step.
We carry that energy with us wherever we go next – the good and the not so good.
My theory that continues to be proven correct is that when we do the work on ourselves, when we dust off old beliefs and heal wounds, and start to uncover the gifts we’re meant to bring to the world, we positively empower our community. What we work on in ourselves (or choose to avoid), ripples out into the lives around us, in one way or another.
In this way, I do believe each of us has an ability to positively impact the greater world. It may be slightly naive and pollyanna, but I’ve seen it first hand.
In my corporate experience, the more I worked to be the calm in the storm, the more my team’s energy remained steady. When my clients heal their inner world, they show up better for their families, businesses, and teams.
The next step from this is allowing yourself to be fully resourced: in time, money, and community. I was raised in a household that was constantly comparing. When I asked for something I didn’t get a budget or more questions, instead I was told that others were lacking so I didn’t deserve. That’s not how the equation of the universe goes. Social media and the news may have you believe otherwise, but there is plenty to go around for all.
Here are a few prompts to get you thinking about what might this be for you. When do you feel lightest? What makes you feel seen and cared for? If you never had to worry about money what would you do?
A full cup overflows to everything around it.
Consistent feedback I get from my clients is that they always leave feeling changed for the better because they felt fully taken care of with me. If you’re ready for this, I’d love to support you nicole@eloiandstella.com.
