Five new bikes, helmets and locks are now in the hands of children being supported by Family Tree, a Wheat Ridge-based organization that provides life-changing services to end child abuse, domestic violence and homelessness. The bikes were built by residents and team members at The Ridge Pinehurst senior living community in Lakewood as a part of its annual Marketing and Sales Conference on June 15.
“This donation is part of our ongoing commitment to give back to the greater community,” said Mandy Hampton, chief executive officer for The Ridge Senior Living. “We recognize that seniors and our teams have so much to give to the community and we’re excited to be a part of helping those at Family Tree.”
The event marks the launch of a partnership between the two organizations where seniors at The Ridge Pinehurst will volunteer with Family Tree to lend their time and help support the nonprofit in their mission.

We are thrilled to have The Ridge Senior Living join us in our work to prevent and overcome the interconnected issues of child abuse, domestic violence and homelessness to promote safety, healing and stability across generations,” said Katherine Lawson, Chief Development Officer at Family Tree.
