If you’ve ever admired Wheat Ridge’s classic mid-century gems or modern renovations and wondered what stories lie behind those inviting front doors, the 2025 Mid-Century and Modern Home Tour is your chance to find out.
Hosted by Localworks, the popular biennial event returns Saturday, Sept. 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This self-guided tour features five private homes that showcase a blend of preserved mid-century style and updated contemporary design. From original architectural details to creative modern touches, each stop offers a rare look inside homes that define Wheat Ridge character.
Early bird tickets are on sale now for $35 through July 31. After that, general admission is $40, and VIP tickets—which include a complimentary drink at the After Party—are $50. A Wine Walk Bundle, which includes admission to both the home tour and the Wheat Ridge Chamber of Commerce’s Wine Walk on Sept. 20, is available for $75.
Proceeds from the event benefit Localworks’ TLC Wheat Ridge program, a partnership with the Wheat Ridge Police Department that supports traffic safety, crime reduction and neighborhood connection. Through free clean-up days, block party grants and more, TLC brings residents together to keep Wheat Ridge clean, safe and welcoming. Fundraisers like this help ensure these programs remain free and accessible to all.
The tour begins at Clear Creek Makerspace, 9110 W. 44th Ave., where attendees will pick up tickets and event maps. A special “Tiki Talk” hosted by ModMood will take place at noon, featuring design inspiration and light refreshments.
After the tour, guests are invited to the After Party at Wolf + Wildflower, 7190 W. 38th Ave., from 4:30 to 7 p.m., for drinks, music and retro flair. All ticket holders are welcome, and VIPs receive their first drink on the house.
Tickets can be purchased online at wearelocalworks.org/midmodtours or in person at Clear Creek Makerspace the day of the event.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to explore iconic homes and support a cleaner, safer Wheat Ridge. Grab your early bird ticket before July 31 and get ready for a day of inspiration and impact.
