Thank You Wheat Ridge!

Adison Wash is Localworks’ Marketing and Community Relations Associate.

Localworks extends a heartfelt thank you to all of you who joined in and participated in our Bar Stool Bingo event, made online contributions and supported us along the way! This Colorado Gives Day, our community rallied together, and we’re thrilled to share that Localworks raised an incredible $8,630! Your generosity has truly humbled us. Your donation went further thanks to Bob Doubois, your trusted local roofer, who matched the first $2,000 of donations. This Colorado Gives Day, and Bar Stool Bingo event, was extraordinary thanks to the Wheat Ridge community. We are so grateful for your continued support — thank you! See you next year!

This event would not be possible without our sponsors. Thank you, Bob Dubois and Guy Nahmiach, for being champions in our community and for Localworks! And thank you to Esters for being incredible hosts.

Leave Your Mark: Clear Creek Makerspace Invites You to Participate in its Paint By Numbers Mural

The Clear Creek Makerspace, located at 9110 W. 44th Ave., anticipates its opening by the end of March 2024. Leading up to the grand opening of the Clear Creek Makerspace (CCM), the community will have the opportunity to leave their mark and breathe life into the newly renovated Makerspace! Join in the first (of three) paint by numbers mural event! Beginning on February 17th, community members will have the ability to paint a section (or sections) of the mural. This mural will be bright, colorful and eye-catching!

How do I get involved?

The Clear Creek Makerspace promotes a culture of inclusion. We want to break down barriers to access. This mural is no exception — all you have to do to get involved is come to the event and be ready to lend a hand!

However, for those who are able and would like to be involved further, Localworks encourages you to do so! Our programs, such as the anticipated launch of Clear Creek Makerspace, depend on contributions from community members like you. This program will be the largest programmatic operation in the organization’s history since its inception in 2005, and you have a unique opportunity to give in a big way towards the mural project!

To help support both the creation of this mural and 5 year-long membership scholarships to CCM, we aim to raise $10,000 throughout this project between all three paint by numbers events.

If you have questions about  the donor levels available, please contact Localworks Executive Director, Paige Piper, at ppiper@wearelocalworks.org.

If you are interested in participating in the paint by number event happening on February 17th, please visit www.wearelocalworks.org/events to register and learn more. This event will happen rain or shine! The only exception being if the weather is severe enough to impact the safety of participants, or the creation of the mural.

Please note the following:

  • Community members will not be permitted to paint any part of the mural that requires a ladder.
  • All paint and supplies will be provided by Localworks. Community members will not be permitted to use their own paint or paint supplies.
  • Unless you have been permitted to reserve a paint time through a donor level, painting will take place on a first come first serve basis.
