Grab your clubs for a cause on Thursday, September 4, 2025! Localworks, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Wheat Ridge, is teeing up its third annual Golf Tournament and Fundraiser. This laid-back, community-centered tournament offers a full morning of golf while supporting the organization’s mission to advance Wheat Ridge as a more vibrant and sustainable place to live and work.

All proceeds from this day go directly back into the programming that makes Wheat Ridge more connected, creative, and sustainable. These programs include TLC Neighborhood Clean-up Days, the Block Party Library and grant program, and membership scholarships to Clear Creek Makerspace to name a few. Every swing, mulligan, and auction bid contributes to the work Localworks does year-round.

The 18-hole scramble begins at 7:30 a.m. at Applewood Golf Course, located at 14001 West 32nd Avenue in Golden. In true Localworks fashion, the tournament comes with its fair share of fun twists including challenge holes, buy-ins like mulligans and group ball, and the chance to purchase a celebrity shot from a super special mystery guest. Each player will receive two drink tickets, and lunch will be served at the end of play.

A new feature this year is the silent auction, which includes local entertainment packages and products from across Colorado. This is another way for players and supporters to make an impact while enjoying the day.

Registration is now open. A single player spot is $120 and a team of four is $450. Mulligans will be available on the course for $5 each or six for $25. Players can also purchase three feet of string for $10 to help with a tough putt, or donate for a celebrity shot.

Localworks is a nonprofit focused on connecting people, supporting local businesses, and encouraging innovation through programs, volunteering, and creative community events. By participating in the tournament, you are helping to build something meaningful in Wheat Ridge.
