Localworks invites the Wheat Ridge community to celebrate 20 years of community-driven initiatives and the first anniversary of the Clear Creek Makerspace (CCM). The event takes place March 31 at CCM, located at 9110 W. 44th Ave., Wheat Ridge, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Guests can enjoy a slideshow of community photos from the past two decades, a simple hands-on maker activity, and a showcase of select CCM member projects!

Founded in 2005 as Wheat Ridge 2020 Inc., Localworks is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to making Wheat Ridge a vibrant and sustainable place to live and work. Over the years, it has partnered with the city and been a friendly neighbor to residents through community events, business support, and home improvement loans for local homeowners.

“This celebration isn’t just about Localworks and CCM—it’s about the people who have been part of this journey,” said Paige Piper, executive director. “We’d love to share a variety of memories that highlight how much this community has accomplished together.”

Localworks is collecting photo submissions from residents who have participated in its programs over the years. Whether you danced at Ridgefest, toured architectural gems during the Mid-Century and Modern Home Tour, supported local businesses at Live Local events, or renovated your home with a HIP Loan, your memories are wanted. Submitted photos will be featured in a slideshow during the event. To share your photos, email them to Adison Wash at awash@wearelocalworks.org with your name, the event name, and a brief description of the photo if possible. The submission deadline is March 24.

To mark the occasion, Localworks and CCM will offer a special one-day only promotion: up to 20 annual CCM memberships will be available for $365 in honor of the makerspace’s first anniversary. Attendees can meet current members, explore creative projects, and learn how CCM fosters innovation and community connections in Wheat Ridge.

We’d love to celebrate with you on March 31! Light refreshments will be served. Please register at wearelocalworks.org/events.
