Meet This Year’s Carnation Festival Royal Court

The Wheat Ridge Carnation Grand Parade will roll west along 38th Ave from Ames Street to Upham Street on Saturday, August 10th, beginning at 9:30 am.

The Wheat Ridge Carnation Festival Parade was first held in 1969 to commemorate the year of our city’s founding.  The parade honors distinguished residents by selecting a Grand Marshal, Count and Countess, who serve as royalty and ride in the parade.

Nominees for the court are made by the community. The Carnation Festival seeks out those in the community who have made a positive contribution through their active participation or service in the city. The three members chosen for the court may be individuals, or an organization that embodies the best of the community and have earned recognition and the royal treatment.

The Wheat Ridge Carnation Festival is proud to announce the 2024 Carnation Festival Parade Royalty!

Grand Marshal – Guy Nahmiach, Realtor and Owner of the Neighborhood Gazette.

Countess – Paige Piper, Executive Director of Localworks.

Count – Tony Carpenter, Wheat Ridge Optimist Club.

Meet our Grand Marshal, Guy Nahmiach!

Having moved to Wheat Ridge from New York 18 years ago, it’s been an amazing experience in getting involved as the Chair of the Parks Commission and so many other entities. I love facilitating the voice of Wheat Ridge through the Neighborhood Gazette and of course leading my team of real estate agents in helping our residents with their real estate needs.  The Carnation Festival is by far my favorite event and I am so humbled to have been selected as the Grand Marshall. Thank you Wheat Ridge.

Congratulations to the 2024 Carnation Festival Parade Royalty who will be honored at the Awards Ceremony on Saturday, August 13th at the Main Stage in Anderson Park at 2:30pm. For more information about the Carnation Festival on August 9-11, 2024 please visit thecarnationfestival.com.
