The Legislative Lowdown event will feature an overview presentation about the legislation slated for the 2024 session, shedding light on potential impacts to you and your business. Excitement is building as Clear Creek Makerspace, located at 9110 W 44th Ave, prepares to open its doors to the eagerly awaiting community that has been cheering us on along the way! Before you dive into the world of cutting-edge tools and equipment, let’s guide you through the steps to become an active member of this creative community.
While visitors and tours will be welcome once we open in March 2024, the real magic happens for active members. To gain access to everything that CCM has to offer you’ll need to identify and enroll in the membership plan that works best for you! The good news is, you can easily navigate this process from the comfort of your own home, and it all begins a few minutes after signing up for a membership plan. After selecting and paying for your plan, you’ll receive an email guiding you through the steps to review and sign our safety waiver. Shortly after, another email will detail how to attend our in-person safety orientation classes, held weekly.
Completing these steps earns you an RFID Key Card from our front desk staff, providing 24/7 access to the building. From there, you can easily identify and sign up for classes on the equipment you’re eager to master, or opt for a tool test to swiftly gain access. Note that certain shops, like the woodshop and metal shop, implement an after-hours buddy system for safety. It’s our goal to ensure that you leave the makerspace with the same number of fingers and toes that you entered with.
While we don’t have an exact opening date yet, signing up for a membership by April 1, 2024, ensures you won’t be charged until May 2024. Additionally, we invite volunteers to assist in setting up equipment, granting them unrestricted access to the makerspace until April 1, 2024.
