Localworks’ Live Local series is back and in full swing for 2026, continuing its mission of supporting economic prosperity while uplifting Wheat Ridge’s local businesses through consistent, community-centered events.
As highlighted in the organization’s annual report, Live Local welcomed an average of 50 guests per event in 2025 and connected more than 500 residents with 10 local businesses through welcoming experiences across the city’s commercial corridors. From dance lessons and trivia nights to clothing swaps and brewery tours, the series has become a reliable way for neighbors to connect while exploring Wheat Ridge and supporting the businesses that shape the community.
Join us for February Live Local
The February Live Local will take place on Thursday, February 12, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Cutthroat Anglers & Barbers, located at 6814 W 38th Ave along Ridge at 38.
Cutthroat Anglers & Barbers is known for combining professional barbering with an appreciation for fishing, hunting, and the outdoors, a theme that’s reflected throughout the shop. During the event, Localworks will provide free beverages and guests will have the opportunity to enter a Cutthroat merchandise giveaway. Attendees can explore the space, meet the barbers, and take part in a few low key Valentine’s themed crafts as part of the “Love Is Cutthroat” community social.
Live Local events are intentionally casual and open to everyone. Visitors do not need to be current clients to attend. Whether stopping in for a few minutes or staying for the full event, guests will have the chance to connect with neighbors and experience one of Wheat Ridge’s most distinctive small businesses!
Those planning to attend are asked to register in advance at wearelocalworks.org/events. Any questions regarding this event can be directed to Localworks at [email protected].
