Localworks will host their first-annual golf tournament, Sept. 21. The scramble is set to begin at 7:30 a.m. at Applewood Golf Course, located at 14001 W. 32nd Ave. The tournament is a fundraiser for Localworks, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that partners with the City of Wheat Ridge, our local businesses and residents to advance Wheat Ridge as a vibrant and sustainable community. All money raised during this event will be put back into keeping their programs free and accessible to the Wheat Ridge community. Programs and events organized by Localworks include, but are not limited to, Ridgefest, Mid-Century and Modern Home Tour, the Home Improvement Loan programs and TLC Dumpster Days.
Players in the 18-hole scramble can expect to pay $70 per person or $200 for a team of four. Lunch will be served at the end of the tournament. Each player will receive two drink tickets upon registration, and more drink tickets will be available for purchase throughout the tournament. Players can also purchase fun items that help their play and standing in the tournament, including things like mulligans, string and a celebrity putt shot.
Sponsorships of varying levels are available for purchase. A Hole Sponsorship can be purchased for $500 and is a great way to get your brand out into the Wheat Ridge community. At this level a business or individual may host a table at a designated hole, have its logo displayed on print and digital marketing materials and receive two player spots. To purchase a sponsorship, contact Localworks via email at reception@wearelocalworks.org or phone 720-259-1030. To register to play, visit wearelocalworks.org/event/golf.
