Mark your calendars for Sept. 19, 2024, because Localworks is teeing off for a day of community and fundraising at our second annual golf tournament!
The scramble begins at 7:30 a.m. at Applewood Golf Course, located at 14001 W. 32nd Ave., Golden, Colorado. Whether you’re an avid golfer or just looking for a fun day out, you’ll be welcomed here. You’ve seen us in action at Ridgefest, Mid-century and Modern Home Tours, or maybe you’ve visited our recently renovated Clear Creek Makerspace. Now, join us for a day on the course!
By participating in this event, you’re supporting Localworks’ mission of making Wheat Ridge a vibrant and sustainable place to live and work. Localworks is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that partners with the City of Wheat Ridge, local businesses, and residents. The proceeds from this event will go directly back into Localworks to keep our programs free and accessible to everyone in Wheat Ridge. Funds will support our TLC program, including dumpster grants, cleanup days, block party grants, and ten year-long membership scholarships to Clear Creek Makerspace.
Tickets are available now at wearelocalworks.org/golf. Each registered player will receive two drink tickets, with more available for purchase throughout the tournament. In addition to drinks, lunch will be served at the conclusion of play. Players can also purchase mulligans for $5 each, or six for $25. Additionally, you can buy three feet of string to allow a putt to go in on par or birdie for $10. We even have a mystery celebrity guest offering a celebrity shot!

We’re thrilled to announce a special addition to this year’s event – a chance to win an incredible trip to Mexico! The trip will be given away via a fun and exciting game of Heads or Tails. All registered players are eligible to purchase an entry to play. The winner will enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime trip for up to four people to stunning Los Cabos or Puerto Vallarta, with stays in luxurious beachfront resorts.

How Does the Game Work?
Participants in the Heads or Tails game test their luck by choosing heads or tails in a series of coin flips. The game continues until there is only one person standing, who will be crowned the winner and walk away with the fabulous trip to Mexico.
