Creating Community One Cup at a Time in Edgewater

COFFEE AND CONVERSATION ATTENDEES ENJOY HOT DRINKS AND COMMUNITY connection on Friday mornings. PHOTO COURTESY OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER

Every Friday, Edgewater’s 55 and older crowd gathers to enjoy a strong dose of coffee (or tea!) and insightful conversations with neighbors at the City of Edgewater’s weekly “Coffee and Conversation” event. And on the first Friday of every month, the discussions are extra lively because of the “First Fridays” special guest speaker series.

First Fridays started in January of this year as a chance for Edgewater’s 55+ crowd to connect with local organizations who offer services geared towards this group. The topic changes monthly, and so far groups like the Jefferson County Clerk, West Metro Fire, DRGOG, and more have contributed their expertise.

The City of Edgewater is on a mission to bring its 55 and older residents together. Join us for our weekly Coffee and Conversation every Friday from 9am-10:30am, and bring a friend! No registration or payment needed. For more information on Coffee and Conversation or the First Fridays series, visit PlayEdgewater.com. You can also check out the Edgewater City Calendar for the latest on  whether Coffee and Conversation  is canceled due to a holiday weekend. If Friday mornings don’t work for you, we also have our 55+ Social Club on the second Thursday of each month at Edgewater Beer Garden. The latest info on upcoming social clubs can also be accessed through the city calendar.

And be sure to save the date for Saturday, August 24 when CGS hosts its 35th Annual Salute to Seniors from 9:30am-3:00pm. Attendees will enjoy a Senior Resource Fair, fashion boutique, bingo, door prizes, and have access to emotional well-being tips, an “ask a lawyer” clinic, and more! Call 303-333-3482 or visit senioranswers.org to learn more.
