Has your reporter Mike McKibbin never been to Arvada, or did he simply not think to question Mr Archer when he claimed that Arvada doesn’t have big box stores and malls to support their tax needs? What about Costco, Sams Club, at least two Targets and two Super Walmarts, and both a Home Depot and a Lowes?

Last month, we made two mistakes. Arvada does have big-box stores. Plenty! And contrary to what the online research told us, Edgewater does tax groceries. Sometimes the answers are right in front of us. Surprise, verification, embarrassment, apology. We’re sorry. We got it wrong, and we’ll do better.
