Mid-century charm, modern elegance, and plenty of stories are tucked behind neighborhood doors. Step inside some of Wheat Ridge’s most distinctive homes for the Mid-Century and Modern Home Tour on Saturday, Sept. 13.
Hosted by Localworks, this beloved biennial event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and features five private Wheat Ridge residences. Some homes highlight untouched mid-century details, from geometric rooflines to vintage tile and cabinetry, while others showcase thoughtful modern updates with clean lines, open layouts, and light-filled additions. Together, they tell the story of how Wheat Ridge’s neighborhoods continue to evolve while keeping their character.
Tickets are on sale now. General admission is $40, and VIP tickets are $50, which include a complimentary drink at the After Party. For those looking to make the most of September, a $75 Wine Walk Bundle includes admission to both the home tour and the Wheat Ridge Chamber of Commerce’s Wine Walk on Sept. 20. Tickets can be purchased online at wearelocalworks.org/midmodtours or in person the day of the event at Clear Creek Makerspace. All guests will receive a packet with a map, home details, and information about the Vintage Talk and After Party. To protect homeowners’ privacy, addresses are only shared at check-in.
The tour begins at Clear Creek Makerspace, 9110 W. 44th Ave. At noon, ModMood will host a special “Vintage Talk,” featuring design inspiration and light refreshments.
After the tour, the celebration continues at Wolf + Wildflower, 7190 W. 38th Ave., from 4:30 to 7 p.m. With drinks and retro flair, the After Party is a chance to relax and swap favorite finds from the day. All ticket holders are welcome, and VIPs will receive their first drink free.
Beyond a day of design inspiration, the tour supports Localworks, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that partners with the City of Wheat Ridge to build a stronger, more connected community. Proceeds benefit TLC Wheat Ridge, a program that keeps neighborhoods clean, safe, and welcoming through free clean-up days, block party grants, and more.
This year’s Home Tour offers more than just a look at stylish spaces—it’s a chance to step into Wheat Ridge’s history and see how its homes continue to shape the city’s future. For more information, visit wearelocalworks.org/midmodtours or give us a call at (720) 259-1030.
