The ad in your June issue promoting strong tobacco policies in our community was truly a “Breath of Fresh Air”! We believe that enhancing the smoke-free policies for Wheat Ridge would provide a healthier environment for all of the residents of our community, including infants, children, adults (and the unborn). The medical and lay public are becoming increasingly aware of the unequivocally detrimental effects of breathing second hand smoke by all age groups. We believe that more strict tobacco policies will not only improve the safety of the local environment but also make Wheat Ridge a more attractive location for young families and businesses.
